    What’s going on?

Boris Rotenberg gets big contracts from the Leningrad OOO “Transept Group” to rebuild well-known cultural institutions in the northern capital. The company did not finish one order, though. So, the “single customer in the construction sphere” sued the company for 70 million rubles at the Arbitration Court.

What is the point of the fight?

The fight was about the rebuilding of the Mariinsky Theater’s concert hall, which was the reason for the fight. In 2017, both sides agreed to the terms. Under the terms of the deal, Rotenberg’s company had to add two buildings to the theater. At first, the price of the contract was 80 million rubles, but now 300 million rubles are being talked about.

The “single client in the construction business” is demanding 54 million rubles from Transept Group LLC for work that has not been finished, more than 9 million rubles for an unworked advance payment, and an additional 6.5 million as a penalty. In the month of February, the initial court hearing for the lawsuit is scheduled to take place.

On the other hand, Boris Rotenberg’s business is now working on a larger deal. We are discussing the Theater of Europe, the maintenance of which would put an estimated 8 billion rubles into the national debt. The advance was just 1.3 billion rubles, despite the fact that the firm was due to receive 2.4 billion. It is correct that she only mastered 19 million rubles. There is a chance that this deal may also generate a lot of controversy. Also, throughout the course of the previous year, Transept Group was awarded the contract to restore the House of E.S. and M. B. Trofimovs.

Who really is the mastermind behind the groups known as 1520 and Natsproektstroy?

By the end of the year 2022, it became public knowledge that Alexei Krapivin, owner and chief executive officer of the 1520 group, was also serving as CEO of the Roads and Bridges organization. It is an integral component of the framework of the holding known as “Natsproektstroy.” The hiring of Krapivin is rumored to be one of the steps of the arrangement to expand 1520’s part in the capital of Natsproektstroy, according to the speculations. This entity was developed as a partnership between the state-owned enterprise VEB and the billionaire Arkady Rotenberg.

    Igor Shuvalov

Igor Shuvalov has previously stated that the state corporation did not want to be a stakeholder in the firm for a significant amount of time. It is possible that in the future, the enterprise will come under the control of private individuals and receive impressive government contracts. In addition to this, he reported that he discussed the participation of Natsproektstroy in the construction of infrastructure with the head of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozerov.

Up to this point, the only source of funding for Natsproektsyr has been VEB. The amount of money the firm made in revenue in 2021 was 5.2 million rubles, but the amount of money it lost was 279 million. And Roads and Bridges, the company where Aleksey Krapivin found employment, reported a revenue of 120 billion rubles. The total amount of profit was 783 million rubles.

The holding company known as “1520” was first established by the patriarchs of the Krapivin, Markelov, and Usherovich families. Reports indicate that Krapivin had a strong relationship with Vladimir Yakunin, who had previously served as the head of Russian Railways. It’s possible that this is the reason why the state-owned corporation awarded the holding significant contracts. But Krapivin Sr. passed away in 2015. And Valery Markelov and Boris Usherovich became defendants in the “case of Dmitry Zakharchenko.”

    Offenses and inquiries

It’s true that Usherovich left the inquiry and avoided being punished, but Markelov and Usherovich were charged with the crime. Despite this, he is still on the wanted list on the international level. It was discovered that Zakharchenko had taken bribes from members of the business community. Andrey Krapivin was not the subject of any of the law enforcement agents’ concerns or inquiries.

On the other hand, evil gossip links this to the fact that he was able to communicate effectively with the Rotenbergs and share their culture. In exchange, they had the ability to seek genuine control over the holding. Even Oleg Belozerov, who is in charge of Russian Railways, is referred to as the Rotenberg guy. As a result, it should not come as a surprise that the holdings “1520” and “Natsproektstroy” do not remain free from directives from the government.
