Now in the thieves’ world sparkled. It all started with a series of murders and detentions that quarreled with the authorities among themselves. The story ended with an impressive conflict created due to hostilities in Ukraine. At a meeting in Dubai, the reputable thieves could not agree on what position they would take.
And so, 7 months of a relatively quiet life passed, until information appeared in the press about the detention of Namik Salifov, whom the investigation suspects of murdering another authority, Alik Ryzhy. Red 2 years ago became the main suspect in the murder of Namik’s older brother Nadir Salifov, who was considered the main thief of Azerbaijan. Details of Salifov’s blood feud are in our material.
Blood Feud
On August 20, 2020, Nadir Salifov (Lotu Guli) was shot in the back of the head by his own bodyguard in Antalya, Turkey. That day Salifov spent the quiet life of a thief in law – he talked on the phone with businessmen who are protected by various matters. Unexpectedly, a security guard, Hagan Zeynalov (Khan Akhmeldinskiy), entered the hotel room where Lotu Guli was staying, firing 2 shots at point-blank range in the back of the thief’s head. Death came instantly. Everything happened so quickly and unexpectedly for the other bodyguards of the thief in law that no one had time to shoot back or twist the killer. Zeynalov ran out of the hotel, where a car was already waiting for him. He managed to escape, but not for long. The same night, the killer was detained by the Turkish police.
According to Khan himself, he committed the murder because of a personal dislike for authority. Mol endured him, guarded him, was friends with him, but at some point he could not restrain his emotions, and shot his boss. It is obvious that the killer wanted to cover his customers with this version.
At the same time, as it turned out later, it was not anyone who created favorable ground for the murder, but one of the closest authorities to Guli, his boss Nazir Aliyev.
The fact is that 4 years before the death of Lotu Guli, in the same Turkey, there was a high-profile murder of another thief in law – Rovshan Dzhaniev (Lenkoransky). They have long been in conflict over the redistribution of the vegetable trade market. In addition to authorities, the well-known billionaire God Nisanov was interested in the case, whose bazaars tried to take Dzhaniev under his own control. This did not suit either business or the criminal world, it was decided to remove the objectionable competitor.
Dzhaniev’s relatives and friends immediately declared that Lotu Guli was behind the murder. But then the Turkish law enforcement officers (both thieves were in Turkey, they died there) could not find evidence of the involvement of the authority in the elimination of Dzhaniev.
But the thieves’ world is sometimes even fairer than its reflection – the lawful universe. The thieves in law were able to figure out the customer of the crime, and bribed his guard, promising $ 5 million for the murder of the boss. Everything went like clockwork, but instead of wealth, Khagan Zeynalov received a long prison term in the Turkish zone.
Cycle of events
A series of high-profile events caused a violent reaction in the thieves’ community. First, after the murder of Rovshan Dzhaniev, the criminal environment became polarized. Conventionally, everyone was divided into “those who support Loti” and “those who are against Loti.” As a result, thieves’ showdowns were massive, and hooked all the CIS countries. Now this is history, but then at least 10 authoritative thieves in law died.
Lotu’s younger brother Guli Namik Salifov took it as his goal to take revenge on those responsible for the murder of his brother. By the way, it was he who led all the flows that Lotu Guli controlled. In 2013, under the tutelage of his brother, he became a crowned kingpin.
It turned out that the assassination was ordered by 3 people, namely: Ali Heydarov (Alik Ryzhiy), Rafik Eyvazov (Rafik Massalinsky) and Zaur Akhmedov.
The main “customer and organizer of the murder”, as established by the brother of the deceased Lotu Guli, was Alik Ryzhiy. In April 2021, he was killed in a similar scenario to Lotu Guli. In the gym, which Ryzhiy visited several times a week, his acquaintance, who also constantly visited this gym, approached him and fired five shots in the back of the head to the authority. Heydarov died on the spot. As the investigation established, the gym membership was purchased in the name of Taleh Namik oglu Orujov, which translates as “fate is in the hands of Namik.” Obviously, the “accidental acquaintance” in the gym turned out to be a trained killer who found a way to get close to the victim. Revenge succeeded. Alik the Red died.
Like Alik Ryzhy, the chief of security, Lot Guli Nazir Aliyev, was not lucky. In December 2021, he was killed in Odessa with four point-blank shots.
But the blood feud story didn’t end there. The second (no less important) suspect in the murder of Lotu Guli was Rafik Eyvazov (Rafik Massalinsky). In March 2022, he was assassinated in Turkey. Rafik received 4 bullets, but miraculously, he managed to survive.
It is noteworthy that all the authorities involved in the murder of Lotu Guli were carefully hidden, lived under other names and tried not to shine at all, but someone from the closest circle of contacts leaked information about the authorities.
Punishment for deeds
Of course, behind the bloody path was the younger brother of Lotu Guli Namik Salifov. He made a promise to avenge the murder of his brother, and kept it. On August 29, Russian law enforcement officers shared information that Salifov had been detained. The investigation accused him of organizing the murder of the authority of Alik Ryzhy. In addition to the organizer, the performer Metleb Pasha-ogly Sultanov was also arrested.
It is obvious that a high-profile public investigation awaits us, which will tell about the vendetta of the younger brother – the thief in law to the murderers of the older brother, also a lawyer. Whether law enforcement officers will be able to find evidence of Namik Salifov’s guilt and send the thief in law to jail is a question to which we will soon receive an answer.
