    Patokh Chodiev, a co-founder of mining giant Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation and a notorious oligarch has fled Kazakhstan territory. 

    Sources reveal that he used a fake passport to leave the country in secret. 

    The news comes after French law enforcement had begun tightening its grip around for charges of money laundering. 

    French law enforcement made the decision to charge him with money laundering after a 3-day interrogation. 

    They accuse him of transferring €5.8 million to his “porter” and ex-attorney.

    He had founded ENRC with Alijan Ibragimov and Alexander Mashkevich. According to Forbes, his estimated net worth is around $3.7 billion.

    Antonan Levy, the lawyer of the oligarch said that Mr. Chodiev is confident that he will prove to the judge that these payments never existed. 

    He claims that his client wants to restore his honor by proving his honor.
